ABOUT ARUNÉLA
Arunéla is an aromatherapy diffuser brand that brings the unique scents of Indonesia in a modern and spiritual design. The name Arunéla comes from Aruna (Sanskrit: the light of dawn) and Ela (soft, gentle), representing the moment when the day begins with calm, hope, and warmth.
We believe that fragrance can be a bridge to a peaceful inner space, where the mind feels light and the breath finds ease again.
WHY ARUNÉLA EXISTS? (Backstory)
Arunéla was born from the personal journey of its founder, Bunga Vernawati, a young woman who experienced burnout, overthinking, and loneliness during a life transition after graduating college. In her healing process, she found peace through meditation, journaling, and aromatherapy.
However, from the many aromatherapy products she tried, almost all felt ‘foreign’ both in scent and in the message they carried. None reflected the warmth of Indonesian culture and atmosphere. From this longing came the idea to create something that not only calms the body but also grounds and touches cultural roots.

Background:
Bunga Vernawati is the 19-year-old Founder and CEO of Arunéla a soulful aromatherapy brand born from her quiet resilience, cultural pride, and deep emotional journey as a young woman navigating life's early transitions.
Currently studying Retail Management, Bunga didn't plan to build a brand this early. But after facing intense burnout, emotional fatigue, and a lingering sense of disconnection after high school, she turned to aromatherapy as a form of gentle healing.
She quickly noticed something: many aromatherapy brands felt distant, international, clinical, and lacking soul. None of them smelled like home.
When she started experimenting with natural ingredients she knew from childhood, like kenanga, serai, and kayu cendana, and slowly, her personal ritual grew into a meaningful brand.
